The management team at IWE oversees one of the foremost, furniture management companies with a structure that is unique within the dealer community. This forward-thinking organization has five fully integrated divisions consisting of Account Management, Technical Services, Operations, Finance/Administration, and Strategic Solutions — all facilitated by these industry-leading furniture executives.
Richard Aarons — Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder.
After practicing law for a number of years, Richard joined AFD in 1980 as President and is the second generation Aarons to be involved in the company. Richard facilities the company’s goal of staying in the forefront of industry trends and value added services. He works closely with all AFD’s major clients and sales teams and has been instrumental in the company’s growth. Richard spearheaded the 2002 start-up of AFD Puerto Rico, the 2011 opening of IWE in Costa Rica and the 2016 opening of IWE in Panama. Richard has a BA from George Washington University and a law degree from Fordham Law School. He is also a member of the NY State Bar Association.
David Aarons — Executive Vice President.
David serves in a general management capacityat AFD and is responsible for overseeing all client activities including ensuring design, schedule, and financial objectives are achieved. David works with clients to implement cost-effective furniture solutions that best leverage the resources of AFD and the manufacturers we represent. David joined AFD in 1999 as a salesperson, moved into sales and then into general management responsibilities. David is the third generation Aarons to be involved in the company and works closely with all AFD’s sales teams. David holds a BA from Emory University, a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida, and a Master of Science in Real Estate with a concentration in Asset Management.
Salvador de la Rosa — Executive Vice President and General Manager.
Salvador brings over 30 years of experience to the furniture solutions Industry. He serves in a general management capacity for the Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Panama operations. In addition, his responsibilities include overseeing all business activities, including new business development, sales, client relations, design, operations and vendor relations. Salvador joined AFD in 2002 when, together with Richard Aarons, he started the Puerto Rico operation and then, in 2011, started IWE International, a wholly owned company of AFD with operations in Costa Rica (2011) and Panama (2016). Salvador has been instrumental in AFD’s growth in Puerto Rico and throughout the entire Latin America market. He holds a BS in Finance and a BA in Management both from Bentley College (now Bentley University) in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Fredy Romero – Regional Vice President
Fredy has over 15 years of experience in the office furniture industry. He joined the IWE team in October of 2016 and serves as our Regional Vice President. His tremendous leadership skills, from strategic planning, business development and all around business execution, have earned him an impeccable reputation with corporate accounts in all of Latin America. Fredy calls Panama his home office but he also has general regional responsibilities. He holds a degree in Industrial Design.
Irene Lahmann, Senior Account Manager.
Irene joined IWE as a Senior Account Manager in July 2013. She has been an active member of the company’s management team, building, developing, and strengthening the relationship with all of our customers. Irene collaborates and helps our clients with all their office needs. Her involvement is critical for the design of the appropriate environment. She also guides our clients from the beginning to the end of their projects. Irene’s involvement and dedication has helped IWE gain the reputation as the best pre and post-sale support company in our Industry.
Maria Alexandra Hoppe, Senior Project Manager.
Maria Alexandra joined IWE as Senior Project Manager in September 2011. As a project manager she has various responsibilities in every project. She is responsible for the design process as she creates drawings, furniture specs and advises clients on the selection of final finishes. She also oversees scheduling and supervises installations. Her working relationship with all major clients in Costa Rica has been essential to IWE’s growth in Costa Rica. She holds a licentiate degree in Architecture from the Universidad Creativa de Costa Rica.
